COVID Guidelines

With our new safety measures in place, we are planning to operate near normal, offering full in-studio dance programs. We are in the process of installing an Amaircare Commercial Air-Purification System with Hepa Clean Air Filtration in each Learning Space which will cleanse the air three times an hour. Hepa filters are critical in the prevention of the spread of airborne bacterial and viral organisms and, therefore, infection. Further, we have organized our school schedule into cohorts and will be implementing disinfecting periods between cohorts. We will be using a de-fogger disinfecting system with Vital Oxide as our disinfectant.

 

We will be conducting COVID screening upon entry for both students and staff, and have limited access for students and essential staff only. Further, we have designated one-directional entry and exit points. Students will enter via the front door and exit via the playground at the rear of the building. 

 

All classes have been organized into cohorts and we have prepared a grid template on our Learning Space floors to help promote social distancing amongst our dancers. Further, we will be reviewing and revisiting handwashing practices with our students and have implemented these practices in our class schedule.

 

There will be some limitations for students. We are asking students to bring their dance shoes, water bottles, and healthy snacks into clear big Ziplock bags. There will be no changing of body dancewear and students should come to the Facility in their dancewear. We have discontinued the practice of using LONDON Triple Threat and Elite cloth dance bags.

 

We continue to receive updated guidance from the Ministry of Education and Toronto Public Health. Please take an opportunity to review our full COVID-19 Handbook London School of Dance. We do require confirmation of understanding of the Handbook with your registration.

 

 

 

 

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the school has followed all provincial and federal laws and guidelines, and Toronto Public directives in an effort to protect all of our school community. 

With the development of the new vaccines to deal with COVID-19, the school in consultation with all staff members has established a mandatory vaccination policy. Effective August 1, 2021, all staff working at either Enquiring Minds Montessori or London School of Dance must be fully vaccinated. As a collective team, we believe this decision is in the best interest of the school, our students, our staff, and our parent.
